FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

IF I AM UNDER CNESST OR SAAQ, WILL I HAVE TO PAY FOR MY PHYSIOTHERAPY/OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY TREATMENTS?

100% of your treatments are covered by CNESST/SAAQ. Therefore, you will not have to make any payments.

IF I WAS IN A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT (SAAQ), HOW MANY TREATMENT SESSIONS AM I COVERED FOR?

You have 20 physiotherapy sessions. At the end of 20 sessions, your physiotherapist will reassess to see if you need further sessions.

HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

HOW MANY VISITS WILL I NEED?

This answer depends on what your health care professional will determine during your first evaluation.

DO YOU OFFER VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS?

Yes, we offer virtual appointments. Please contact us for more information.

WHAT TYPE OF PATIENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept Work Accident Recovery (CNESST), Car Accident Recovery (SAAQ), Private, and Refugees.

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept cash, debit cards, and credit cards (MasterCard, Visa).

DO I HAVE TO BE REFERRED BY A DOCTOR?

For private patients, you do NOT need a referral from a doctor.

For CNESST, SAAQ, and refugees, you will need a referral from a doctor.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?

You will experience a friendly, caring and welcoming environment, starting when you first meet our front desk administrators. You will have a one-on-one assessment with your health-care professional, who will conduct a thorough history and physical assessment. Depending on the nature of your condition or injury, treatment may be provided on the first visit. Your health-care professional will explain to you the prognosis and treatment plan.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?

For your first visit, please bring:

    • Any paperwork or forms that you have, such as any reports from the physician, MRI or X-ray results, etc.
    • If you are using any type of brace, splint, crutches, etc.
    • Your medicare card
    • A list of your medications
    • Clothing: wear a tank-top or t-shirt and a pair of shorts to your first appointment. Also, bring a pair of clean indoor running shoes. Masks are mandatory.
HOW DO I CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?

Please note that all appointments require at least 24 hours notice before cancelling or rescheduling. If you need to reschedule, please call us at 514-488-3131 during business hours to speak to one of our front desk administrators.

WHAT COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS ARE YOU TAKING?

We are doing everything on our end to maintain a safe work environment with extra cleaning of the clinic, hand washing, hand sanitizers available, and a policy to turn away any client or therapist exhibiting any fever, sore throat, cough, cold, or respiratory symptoms. We also have a COVID-19 questionnaire that each patient fills out prior to their appointment. We screen every client before booking an appointment and ensure at all times that we prioritize your safety.

HOW DO I GET TO THE CLINIC?

Urgence Physio is a 4-minute walk from the Vendôme metro station.

 

  • If travelling by metro:
    • Arriving from Montmorency (Orange line): take Orange line towards Côte-Vertu. Exit via Vendôme station. Head southwest on Boulevard de Maisonneuve Ouest toward Avenue de Marlowe. Turn right onto Avenue Northcliffe and the destination will be on your right.
    • Arriving from Côte-Vertu (Orange line): take Orange line towards Montmorency. Exit via Vendôme station. Head southwest on Boulevard de Maisonneuve Ouest toward Avenue de Marlowe. Turn right onto Avenue Northcliffe and the destination will be on your right.
    • Arriving from Honoré-Beaugrand (Green line): take Green line towards Angrignon. Exit at Lionel-Groulx and switch to the Orange line. Then, take Orange line towards Côte-Vertu. Exit via Vendôme station. Head southwest on Boulevard de Maisonneuve Ouest toward Avenue de Marlowe. Turn right onto Avenue Northcliffe and the destination will be on your right.
    • Arriving from Angrignon (Green line): take Green line towards Honoré-Beaugrand. Exit at Lionel-Groulx and switch to the Orange line. Then, take Orange line towards Côte-Vertu. Exit via Vendôme station. Head southwest on Boulevard de Maisonneuve Ouest toward Avenue de Marlowe. Turn right onto Avenue Northcliffe and the destination will be on your right.
    • Arriving from Saint-Michel (Blue line): take Blue line towards Snowdon. Exit at Snowdon and switch to the Orange line. Then, take the Orange line towards Montmorency. Exit via Vendôme station. Head southwest on Boulevard de Maisonneuve Ouest toward Avenue de Marlowe. Turn right onto Avenue Northcliffe and the destination will be on your right.
    • Arriving from Longueil-Université-de-Sherbrooke (Yellow line): take Yellow line towards Berri-UQAM. Exit at Berri-UQAM and switch to the Orange line. Then, take the Orange line towards Côte-Vertu. Exit via Vendôme station. Head southwest on Boulevard de Maisonneuve Ouest toward Avenue de Marlowe. Turn right onto Avenue Northcliffe and the destination will be on your right.

 

  • If travelling by car:
    • Arriving from the north: Take Autoroute 15 South and exit onto Rue Sherbrooke/QC-138 E (exit 64). Then, merge onto Rue Addington. Then, turn left on Rue Sherbrooke. Then, turn right onto Avenue Northcliffe and the destination will be on your left.
    • Arriving from the east: Take Rue Sherbrooke West/QC-138. Then, turn left onto Avenue Northcliffe and the destination will be on your left.
    • Arriving from the south: Take Autoroute 15 North and exit onto Rue Sherbrooke/QC-138 E (exit 64). Then, turn right on Rue Sherbrooke. Then, turn right onto Avenue Northcliffe and the destination will be on your left.
    • Arriving from the west: Take Autoroute 20 East and exit onto Autoroute 15 S toward Autoroute 20 E/Pont Champlain/Québec. Then, merge onto Autoroute 15 N. Then, take exit Rue Sherbrooke/QC-138 E (exit 64). Then, turn right on Rue Sherbrooke. Then, turn right onto Avenue Northcliffe and the destination will be on your left.

 

  • If travelling by bus:
    • Arriving from the north: see the STM website for updated schedules.
    • Arriving from the east: take the 24-O bus and get off at Sherbrooke / Décarie. Head northeast on Rue Sherbrooke/QC-138 O toward Avenue Northcliffe. Turn right on Northcliffe and the destination will be on your left.
    • Arriving from the south: see the STM website for updated schedules.
    • Arriving from the west: take the 90-E bus and get off at Vendôme. Head southwest on Boulevard de Maisonneuve Ouest toward Avenue de Marlowe. Turn right onto Avenue Northcliffe and the destination will be on your right.
